Mixing of Oils

Oils used for the same purpose and meeting the same quality specifications can usually be mixed together regardless of whether they are single-grade or multi-grade oils.

If a modern, high detergent engine oil is applied to an engine where an older class of low detergent oil has been used, it is recommended that the first change interval is shortened to, for example, 1,000 kilometers or the engine is cleaned in some other way.
